My name is Dannielle and I am a 38 year old wife and mother of three wonderful kids. There is my 17 year old basketball superstar son Ryan, then there is my sweet, smart and extremely funny 9 year old daughter Amy’a and finally my 4 year old beautiful, completely endearing and absolutely "all boy"-Amarri. And then there is my big, strong "honey", Darnell. We call TN our hometown. This, my friends, is my whole world. These people are why I continue to keep moving every day. While surfing the net on one particularly slow day for me (not to many mom duties going on), I was trying to find something of interest to read. I wanted to do something important that would help me to relax and just get away from life’s everyday problems but still be interesting to me. So on I searched with all intent and purposes of finding that one thing that would grab me and totally shake me off my foundation. In all actuality, what I wanted was something that was astonishing and perfect for me, that I wouldn't be able to ignore the obvious.
Working the way my husband and I do, which is shift work for a wonderful company, and trying to raise our family and still have just about 2 minutes of the day left for ourselves, I needed to find something that was going to be a benefit to us and help me slow down my work situation but still earn a little money on the side. Well, one day while at work, I was talking to a fellow associate about his website and how much fun he was having learning how to build it and grow and learn from it each day. After talking with him, I thought to myself, "that does sound like a kind of neat thing to try".
But where do I go to even get started and what will my site even be about? How do I know what to write about? What about how to form what I have to say in an easy to follow yet informative page? What if I have other questions? In my mind, the list was endless!
So after some deep heart and soul searching prayer, I thought I'd try my hand at something that I really loved. So I decided that it would be about gospel music. What did I have to loose or even better what would I gain?
Surely there were other who shared my same enthusiasm and passion for the "Word of the Lord" put to music.
How It All Came About
With my game plan in mind, all I had to do was to begin my research. I wanted to know what Site Build It had to offer me, would it be helpful if I got lost or stuck and was there going to be an easy way for me to build this site I had in my mind?
So I wrote all of these questions down at at the top of my paper as a reminder and just sat down one day and listening to the Site Build It study guide videos and began writing down my thoughts. One thing I did find odd was that as you go along with the study guides, it will tell you, point blank, to just start writing. Don't stop to analyze it just yet, just start writing. Now if your anything like me, this is not going to make a whole lot of since to you at first. It just seems like your writing a bunch of random thoughts down. But as you go along, your mind will begin to form your page into something of a coherent thought pattern. Note* Sorry about that, had to tell you that important bit of information while it was still fresh on my mind. So back to my story. Well, I prayed about it. Then the words started to come! I know, it does sound hard to believe, but trust me on this, it really does work. Just try it for yourself on any subject you can think of and just watch how your own mind will begin to go in a destinct direction of what "you" want to say. Now isn't God truly amazing and wonderful? Because without Him, I would never have discovered what I had to say. Furthermore, without the help of Site Build It, I think it would have been even more difficult for me to write about it. On with my story! Since my site was about gospel music and its lyrics, it just stood to reason for me, I would name my site soulful gospel music lyrics. I began to earnestly look for any and all lyrics that I truly love to hear. And once I got the list of songs that I really like, I began to think, someone may like to know what the lyrics are to the songs as well.
So, that set me on the path to listing to the songs and reading more of the lyrics. Man, I was on a roll! I just could not get enough of learn all that I could about my favorite song lyrics. I need to get the word out! I wanted everyone to feel what I was feeling!
